POSITION PURPOSE AND SUMMARY
Responsible for supervision of the day to day activities of the staff in Registration Services. Responsible for ensuring that staff obtain all data set requirements needed to properly identify the patient and create a billable account and that all required signatures on consents are obtained by appropriate parties. Insures hospital protocols for emergency preparedness, computer downtime environments of safety and Regulatory compliance are adhered to. Conducts relevant activities such as productivity and performance monitoring, workflow observation and problem solving.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE :
High School graduate or equivalent. Typing 40 wpm with computer knowledge and PC keyboarding skills required.
Microsoft knowledge
â Medical Terminology required with health insurance knowledge including experience with Medicare/Medicaid and Managed Care requirements.
â Previous hospital, healthcare related experience preferred.
â Must demonstrate ability in communication and problem solving
â Excellent customer service skills required.
