PER-DIEM / Covering shifts as needed
Transports veterans to and from residences. Ensures agency vehicle is maintained.
- Transports veterans to and from residences and activities in a safe courteous manner.
- Demonstrates awareness of sensitivity to the needs of the veterans.
- Reports observations about changes in veterans to a supervisor or veteran's case manager.
- Ensures agency vehicle is kept in good condition.
- Informs supervisor of any problems with the vehicle.
- Completes monthly vehicle condition reports.
- Maintains accurate mileage and transportation logs.
- Assists staff by performing non-clinical tasks as delegated by their supervisor.
- Co-ordinates vehicle maintenance.
- High School Diploma.
- Some prior mental health/human service experience.
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- Must be able to participate in mandatory in-service training, as required.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills; customer service oriented, with the ability to engage professionally with culturally and linguistically diverse staff and external stakeholders.
