POSITION: Accounting Clerk Intern Part-Time Temporary Position
DEPARTMENT: Finance
REPORTS TO: Chief Financial Officer
POSITION SUMMARY: Under the general direction of the Chief Financial Officer, performs accounting and clerical duties. Duties include, but area not limited to, reconciliation of accounts receivable, receivable accounts, and maintenance of financial charts.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Reconcile, analyze, and balance AR accounts including compliant and timely submission of all claims and provide accountants accurate and timely information for preparation of AR journal entries.
- Processes invoices from outside service agencies, checks for legitimacy and accuracy of charges, and processes check requests according to Accounts Payable standards. Performs comparison to General Ledger balance reconciliation process.
- As needed collects pertinent data for quality trends and reports data to supervisor.
- As needed prepare and gather invoices and information that may be needed for audits.
- Follows all company policies and procedures including, but not limited to safety and HIPAA.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Currently enrolled in an accounting, finance, or similar field program.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office particularly in Excel.
- Candidate should have strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
- Self-starter possessing strong attention to detail
