Community Mainstreaming is a non-profit human service agency committed to providing services to help people with intellectual and developmental disabilities lead meaningful productive lives within their community.

We are seeking an Assistant Director of Residential Services to join our team! The Assistant Director of Residential Services ensures that agency Individualized Residential Alternatives (IRAs) are operated and maintained in accordance with OPWDD regulations and CMA policies and protocols.

Location: Nassau & Suffolk County, NY

Position : Full time
Schedule: Monday - Friday
Hours: 10:00 am to 6:00 pm
Salary: $70,000

Responsibilities :

  • provides leadership and guidance to frontline staff, including residence managers, assistant managers, and direct support professionals
  • ensures the rights, health, and safety of the individuals supported in your assigned programs is a critical responsibility
  • oversees ongoing staff training and development within your programs
  • encourages professional growth and conducts regular reviews of online training to ensure compliance
  • verifies that services meet quality standards and billing requirements
  • builds strong relationships with families and act as a liaison
  • oversees fiscal compliance, including managing personal funds, program budgets, and payroll/overtime
  • participates in developing new programs
  • coordinates site selection, communication with relevant offices, and the selection of individuals to support
  • responsible for accurate and timely reporting of incidents

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in human services with at least 3 years providing supervisory supports in an OPWDD certified program
  • strong leadership skills
  • excellent problem solving and communication skills
  • willingness to be on call and work a flexible schedule to meet the program needs
