Location: Glen Cove, NY
Position: Full time
Hours: Tues - Fri (12 pm to 8 pm), Sat (10 am to 6 pm), Sun/Mon - OFF
Hourly Rate: $19.21
Responsibilities
- assists in the day-to-day operation of the residence in accordance with regulatory requirements, agency policy, and quality program
- ensures the program follows all regulations
- provides oversight for individual's personal allowance, bank accounts, and financial records
- monitors medication administration to ensure accuracy and standards are being met
- ensures health and well-being as well as promote the individual’s choice
- assists with training, supervision, and evaluation of all direct care staff assigned
- advocates – protects and upholds individuals' rights
- assists manager in creating and maintaining weekly staff schedules
- provides oversight of all program documentation
- performs duties of a direct support professional as needed
- completes incident reports as needed
- works closely with family members
- ability to lift at least 50 pounds or more
- daily standing, bending, and lift
- must be able to stand for at least eight hours at a time
- Associates in related field preferred, minimum of 60 college credits
- minimum of two years' experience in the ID/DD field
- valid NY Driver’s License
- excellent organizational and communication skills
- knowledge of OPWDD regulations
- capacity of mature judgment and ability to handle emergencies in a professional manner
