Responsibilities
Responsible for educating, advising and guiding patients to best options for healthcare access and financial assistance. Acts as a liaison between Financial Services department and the patient to ensure maximum cash flow and reimbursement for the hospitals and acts as an advocate for the patient in resolving patient liability. Relies on experience and judgement to clearly explain billing practices to patients, and relays relevant financial information (e.g., price estimates and payment plan options) in a clear and patient-friendly manner that aligns with CMCs initiatives.
Qualifications
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:5 years of healthcare collection, financial counseling or billing experience required
PREFERRED:
Experience in the healthcare industry or a healthcare setting.
