We are looking for an experienced Health Unit Coordinator to join our team!
Job Summary:
Our Health Unit Coordinator will primarily perform administrative services to the Emergency Department and support the team as needed. Communication with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals is vital to ensure patient care is efficient and effective. As a Health Unit Coordinator, you will assemble and maintain patient charts accurately, facilitate patient transfers and admissions, and ensure smooth operations with efficiency and a commitment to healthcare.
Qualifications: Completion of a Health Unit Coordinator course or two years of Health Unit Coordinator experience is preferred. Additional consideration will be given to those who possess experience as a Health Unit Coordinator in an acute care setting. Computer proficiency in clinical service application. Familiarity with order entry EMR, and Medical terminology. Must demonstrate a high degree of organization skills and the ability to prioritize work and change priorities based on changing workload demands critical thinking and problem solving to ensure accuracy of patient care orders/charges, integrity of the patient care log, and timeliness of care.
