b Duties and Responsibil

ies:* Ø Maintain knowledge and proficiency of management information system (MEDENT), patient insurance products and financial classifications. Ø Oversees waiting area, coordinate patient movement, reports problems or irregularities. Ø Receive Patients Greets customers in polite, prompt, helpful manner. Provides any necessary instructions/directions. Ø Informs appropriate department/person of person's arrival. Ø Perform outpatient registration duties. Complete outpatient registrations in an efficient and courteous manner by accurately capturing and entering information. Ø Prepares medical records for provider staff use. Ø Reconciles charge capture sheet and patient visits schedule to assure that a charge capture sheet has been processed for each visit. Ø Performs other duties as assigned Ø Answers telephones. Takes accurate messages and provides message to nurse or provider. Ø Assembles patient's charts for next day visit. Updates profile on all patients Ø Schedules physician referrals, outpatient appointments and admissions as requested. Ø Participates in the Daily huddle where the days schedule will be reviewed, and follow-up tasks will be assigned. No shows and same day cancellations from previous business day will be discussed and follow-ups will be assigned. *Qualifications:* - Medical administrative support experience - Patient service background - Office experience, especially in a medical setting - Familiarity with front desk operations - Proficient in using EMR systems - Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical terminology - Ability to handle multi-line phone systems efficiently - Strong organizational skills - Experience in urgent care or emergency room settings Pay: $18.45 - $21.98 per hour Benefits: * 403(b) * Employee assistance program * Flexible schedule * Free parking * Life insurance * On-the-job training * Opportunities for advancement Healthcare setting: * Clinic * Urgent care center Medical specialties: * Urgent Care Schedule: * 4 hour shift * 8 hour shift * Afternoon shift * On call * Rotating weekends * Weekends as needed Experience: * Computer skills: 1 year (Preferred) * Medical receptionist: 1 year (Preferred) Ability to Relocate: * Hamilton, NY 13346: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
