Description
CRIS is seeking a candidate to join our team of dedicated community service providers to identify and apply for grant opportunities and track reporting requirements in partnership with CRIS' program managers and leadership.
Full-time position, 40 hours/week, non-exempt/hourly position, medical/dental/vision insurance eligibility, flexible spending account (FSA) program, paid time off, paid holidays, 403b tax-deferred retirement savings option, general office hours of 8:30am-4:30pm Monday through Friday with hybrid work opportunities
This CRIS position is made possible through the generosity of Rohini Mulchandani and her commitment to strengthening the diversity and sustainability of agency program funding. The position is currently funded for a one-year period, at which time we will reassess based on continued need and funding.
Engage with CRIS team members, service recipients, and leadership to best understand the history, structure, mission, vision, community needs, program objectives, and evolving financial resources/needs of the organization
Research grant opportunities from private, government, and non-government entities
Prepare written grant proposals and gather supporting documentation based on the requirements of the grant proposal
Effectively manage timelines and deadlines to submit grant proposals
Respond to internal and external queries regarding pending and submitted proposals
Foster positive relationships with colleagues, funders, and other stakeholders
Oversee reporting requirements, deadlines, and submissions related to grant opportunities, in collaboration with program staff and/or coordinators
Requirements
Degree from a four-year university or 2 years of experience in a directly related profession
At least two years of non-profit grant writing experience
Effective grants research and communication skills
Strong grant writing skills
Prefer interest or experience with refugee and/or immigrant services
Skilled in interpersonal and intercultural communication
Ability to be self-directed with position responsibilities
Resourceful, proactive problem-solving ability
Possess professional abilities in spoken and written English language
Strong organizational skills
Experience facilitating partnerships with community social service providers
Experience working with diverse populations
Proficient skills with Microsoft Excel, Google Apps including Google Drive, e-mail, internet, and grant writing tools
Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and current automobile insurance with clean driving record
Participate in a required background check
