Community Unit School District 308 is seeking an outstanding educational leader to serve as the Director of Special Education - Secondary, beginning July 1, 2024. This is a full-time, 12-month position. Starting Salary: $115K Annually Qualified applicants are required to have Professional Educator License with Director of Special Education Endorsement, and at-least one of the following endorsements: Learning Behavior Specialist I and/or II, Deaf/Hard of Hearing and/or Visually Impaired, Speech and Language Pathologist, School Social Worker, or School Psychologist. Minimum of five years of successful leadership experience as an administrator in special education, experience in leading large unit districts preferred. Knowledge of current teaching and learning methods for students with disabilities.The recommended candidate for this position will receive a regionally competitive starting salary depending on educational background and experience. A comprehensive benefits package including Board-paid TRS and THIS contributions and 80% district-paid medical (including 100% reimbursement for non-emergency care at Rush affiliated providers on our PPO & HCA plans) and dental insurance.
