Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Youth Director to join our staff at Community United Methodist Church. This person would be tasked with coordinating and leading a comprehensive youth ministry program at CUMC to include opportunities for worship, discipleship, missions and fellowship.

Responsibilities:
-Establish Youth Ministry goals in alignment with Leadership Team goals for CUMC

-Recruit and manage creative volunteer teams for the Youth program

Purchase and maintain the necessary levels of resources, materials, and supplies for the Youth Program

Maintain up-to-date communications through the church's newsletter and social media platforms to promote the Youth Ministry opportunities

Qualifications:

-Profess Jesus Christ as personal Lord and Savior

-Bachelor's degree required with course work in education or Christian education preferred

-Strong magnetic interpersonal skills- including strength in writing and communicating verbally

-Must be able to work well with others as a team member, and able to satisfy the goals and activities above. The hours per week may fluctuate depending on the time of the year

Experience:

She/he must have experience working with youth in a Christian setting and must be able to relate to building relationships with multiple age groups.

A successful background check is required at the start of employment and periodically afterward as deemed necessary by the Staff Parish Relations Committee.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $10,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 10 – 12 per week
