Strategic Planning: Lead the annual and quarterly strategic planning process across senior leadership forums (Board, ELT, GLT, USLT). Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and refine the strategic direction of the organization. Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and internal capabilities to inform strategic decision-making. Develop and communicate strategic plans to ensure alignment and buy-in across the organization. Portfolio Management: Own and manage the portfolio of outcomes and initiatives through the Book of Work process. Drive prioritization of business goals and initiatives considering resource and financial constraints. Ensure effective governance practices to monitor and track progress of initiatives. Evaluate and optimize the portfolio to ensure strategic alignment and maximize value delivery. Leadership/Collaboration/Change: Demonstrate strong leadership skills to inspire and motivate teams towards achieving strategic objectives. Foster collaboration and effective communication with stakeholders across the organization. Drive change management efforts to ensure successful implementation of strategic initiatives. Utilize strong financial acumen to make data-driven decisions and optimize resource allocation. Overall, you will be instrumental in shaping and executing the organization's strategic direction, managing the portfolio of initiatives, and driving collaboration and change across the organization. Qualifications: A bachelor's degree in business, finance, strategic management, or a related field. A master's degree or MBA may be preferred. Proven experience in strategic planning, portfolio management, and leadership roles within a corporate setting, with at least 7-10 years of relevant experience. Strong understanding of financial analysis, budgeting, and resource allocation. Demonstrated ability to lead and facilitate strategic planning processes at a senior leadership level. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Experience in change management and driving organizational change initiatives. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions. Primary Location Boston, Massachusetts Salary range is expected to be between $148,400.00 USD - $275,500.00 USD If you are applying for this role outside of the primary location, please contact recruitment@manulife.com for the salary range for your location. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training. Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance.
