Compass Associates are proud to be working with a valued client in their recruitment for a Director of Nursing for their small skilled nursing facility in Cincinnati, Ohio.

This role would suit a qualified registered nurse, that is passionate about care and has previous or current experience of working as a director of nursing or assistant director of nursing within a skilled nursing facility. You will be required to be qualified as a registered nurse within the state of Ohio for the position and to focus on providing high-quality care in line with Ohio state and Medicare regulations, supporting/developing the well-established team you are leading, under the guidance of the Administrator. While supporting the administrator with their day-to-day responsibilities.

The Candidate

The successful candidate must have a registered nursing license, active in the state of Ohio. While having experience of managing a nursing team within a senior care community, as a director of nursing or Assistant Director of Nursing. Along with a good understanding of Ohio state regulations within senior care.

The candidate will ideally have several years leadership experience as a Director of Nursing (DON) or Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) and provide evidence that they have the capability to manage the clinical operations of a skilled nursing facility. The position requires a manager who can motivate a staff team, while ensuring that first class care is always delivered and understands the expectations of working within a fast paced, ever changing environment.

Requirements

Registered nurse qualification (RN) within the state of Ohio

2 years experience as Director of Nursing or Assistant Director of Nursing

Knowledge of Memory Care (Preferred - Not required)

History of managing a clinical team within a skilled nursing facility

Experience with, Medicare, Medicaid guidelines

Knowledge on Ohio senior care state regulations

Location

The facility is based in Cincinnati, Ohio and is commutable from Harrison, Hamilton, Oxford, Eaton, Dayton and surrounding area's.
