Job Summary
The Custodial Operations Manager is responsible forthe overall cleanliness, sanitation, and security of all buildings within a K-12 school district. This position provides support to the Director and manages the Unit Custodial Directors and their teams. You will train, mentor and develop your management team, ensure buildings are in compliance and meet expectations of the client, and serve as a liaison between building administrators and supervisors. It is imperative that you are able to effectively communicate all directives from managers, building administrators to your team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicates between various managers and teams to ensure applicable completion of tasks.
- Trains managers and develops leaders
- Performs inspections and follows through on all assignments to ensure task completion.
- Holds regular team meetings and sets expectations and goals
- Guides completion on projects to make sure they are completed timely and within budget.
- Manages budgetary issues.
Preferred Qualifications:
- College degree preferred.
- 3-5 years of management experience in housekeeping or service-related field with high customer/client contact required.
- Strong work ethic, intense drive, and initiative for quality and customer service.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills both one-on-one and in group situations.
- Ability to mentor and develop leaders
- budgeting and P&L experience
- Excellent administrative and organizational skills and an ability to prioritize.
- Excellent time management skills required.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record, ensuring safe operation of company vehicles in accordance with traffic laws and conditions.
