Salary : $95,000-$110,000

Job Summary : The Director of Catering Operations will focus on hospitality, sales and event experience for the Food at Google program ensuring high-quality service delivery for all catering events on campus.

This position reports into the General Manager and will leverage their strong communication, hospitality and event planning skills to partner with key stakeholders to promote Food at Google expectations and enhance user (partner) experience.

This role is based in Washington D.C.

The great things you will be expected to do :

• Develop and implement strategies to increase catering sales and drive revenue growth
• Manage day-to-day operations of the catering department, including staffing, scheduling, and inventory management
• Collaborate with chefs and culinary team to create innovative menus that meet client needs and budget requirements
• Knowledgeable of competitive set and recommends sales / pricing strategies, service and product improvements
• Responsible for preparing and reporting out on budgets; financial targets and sales forecasts
• Ensure that all appropriate data, presentation and communication is available for quarterly business reviews, and or, distributed in a timely manner to leadership teams
• Oversee event setup, execution, and breakdown to ensure a seamless experience for both clients and guests
• Monitor customer feedback and make continuous improvements to enhance overall customer satisfaction

Minimum Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree is preferred, or equivalent professional experience
• Has a minimum of 3-5 years similar work experience
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Proactive mindset and able to remain calm under pressure to anticipate and support changes in our business
• Strong passion for great food and hospitality
• Manages time effectively and prioritizes tasks to meet deadlines
• Creates a culture of food and workplace safety
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team
• Ability to work in a fast paced, changing environment
