We are Canteen.Job SummaryEssential Job Functions and Requirements:Interact effectively with USDA officials, food safety auditors, and customers to maintain positive, responsive relationships and ensure rapid corrective actions are implemented through dynamic leadership and timely documentation.Able to investigate a product/process failure, determine the root cause, and take prompt corrective actions, while minimizing product exposure and production downtime quickly and thoroughlyEnforce Food Security Programs, Environmental Microbiological monitoring is in place, and control programs are finished through Microbiological Testing (allergen program, and sanitation).Oversee the efficient implementation of the facility's quality standards, programs, and processes to improve operational efficiencies and eliminate production waste.Responsible for managing QA/Sanitation personnel work schedules, assignments and verifying the accuracy of personnel hours, and informing of any changes when needed.Document control review and verification of programs for QA, Sanitation, and Food Safety.Responsible for and executes response to negative micro and Shelf Life data to drive continuous improvement, by auditing and scrutinizing the level of equipment cleanliness prior to the start of operations.Revise and update food safety and quality programs and procedures as directed by managementAccountable for the preparation and the execution of USDA daily verification tasks, as well as numerous 3rd party audits and USDA food safety system assessmentsPrevents HACCP, SSOP, and process or product failures by working with Food Safety and Quality Assurance staff members and Operations to drive continuous improvement of product quality through developing food safety and quality plans, process controls, attention to process and specifications, food safety and quality trainingEnsures that operational and pre-operational sanitation is acceptableImplements and develops necessary verification activities including micro sampling to verify the effectiveness of sanitation activitiesManages daily activities, in-depth training, and development of the Food Safety and Quality staff membersDocument corrective actions and follow-up as necessary and conduct GMP and Sanitation auditsMaintain inventory of cleaning chemicals on a weekly basis, purchase supplies of QA/Sanitation DepartmentCommunicates to relevant personnel all information essential to ensure the effective implementation and maintenance of the SQF SystemProvides leadership and guidance to all employees in the Food Safety and Quality AssuranceResponsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and assisting in providing appropriate resolutionsMay perform other duties as assigned by ManagementQualifications:Associate's DegreeExperience with HACCP program development and ServSafe and third party auditsWorking knowledge of food regulations, i.e. FDA, USDA, and industry practiceStrong data management, reporting, and technical writing skillsProficient in MS Office applications including Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and OutlookApply to Canteen todayCanteen is a member of Compass Group USAClick here to Learn More about the Compass Story Compass Group is an equal opportunity employer.
