Job Summary : The Retail (Cafe) Manager will successfully lead the retail food service operation (cafe, gift shop and coffee shop) at a hospital account in Baltimore.

Our Retail and Culinary team work closely together to provide excellent food quality, customer service and innovative ideas.

Responsible for leading a team of 15 team members. Anticipated schedule : Rotating to include opening (start 6am) and closing shifts (end 7pm), and every 3rd weekend.

Key Responsibilities : Planning and supervision of special functions, maintaining cash controls, payroll records, and the hiring and training of our hourly team members50% managing the retail area and engaging with customers;

20% personnel management; 30% financialsEnsures customer satisfaction and good public relations through the safe and efficient uses of resourcesDirects staff to provide scheduled retail services in accordance with corporate policies and presentation standardsTrains staff in customer service, accurate portioning, cashier skills, and safety / sanitationCompletes all daily, weekly or monthly reports on a timely basis meeting all prescribed municates effectively with all team members, patients and familiesImplements and maintains cash handling standards as outlined in the Corporate Policies and Procedures Manual to eliminate theft of services or Company funds Preferred Qualifications : B.

S. or equivalent experience Degree in Management or related field; or A.A. Degree plus three years of directly related experience preferred.

Proven experience in food service / retail / catering industryGood knowledge of food trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, marketing and presentationP&L accountability and contract-managed service experience is desirableExperience with cash retail operationsRetail marketing experiences are highly desirableSupervisory, leadership, management and coaching skillsGood interpersonal skills both written and verbalAbility to communicate on various levels to include management, customer and associate levelsKnowledge of financial, budgetary, accounting and computational practicesProficient computer skills to include;
