The Labor and Employee Relations Specialist supports efforts to build a positive culture of accountability, promoting team member welfare and recognition. Position assists the Labor Relations and Employee Relations teams with investigations, record-keeping, informational requests, training, and various administrative tasks related to Labor and Employee Relations. Position is also accountable for assisting Human Resources and operational management in achieving positive employee relations environments. Role is responsible for a wide variety of analysis, interpretation, development, implementation and administration of issues and support involving team members at both union and non-union environments.ResponsibilitiesEmployee RelationsProvide outstanding advice and guidance to managers relating to Employee Relations IssuesMonitor issues to identify trends or emerging patternsEnsure advice and policy guidance is communicated in line with our Core Signature and employment law standardsSupport the design, communication and continual improvement of employee relations resourcesDevelops and delivers training related to Employee Relations topics and proceduresManage the process of SpeakUp (Whistle blowing) allegations and investigationsResponds to HR inquires submitted to the Speak-Up hotline, e-mail and other communication channels that involve Employee Relations mattersPartners with Field HR, Legal, Labor Relations, Risk Management and Operations for resolution of escalated HR inquiresAssists in internal team member investigations as assignedOversees the creation of tools to communicate important HR information - newsletters, webinars, trainingLabor RelationsCoordinate labor relations projects to ensure their completion in a timely and efficient mannerProvides support to the Labor Relations team on collective bargaining, including compiling draft documents, fulfilling informational requests, and coordinating post-negotiations activityAssists in preparation for contract negations and arbitration hearingsProvide guidance to human resources and operations management in resolving labor relations concerns and issues ensuring alignment with company practices and collective bargaining agreementsKeep all stakeholders informed about labor relations matters, changes in policies and any potential areas of concernAssist with the interpretation and administration of labor contractsDesign and deliver training on labor relations initiativesMaintains recordkeeping of agreements, materials, arbitrations, grievances, or any other related documentsBe a champion for great people managementOther duties as assigned Experience Real-world experience supporting or implementing employee relations standards and investigations1 years of Labor Relations experience in a multilocation unionized environment strongly preferredExperience conducting effective & objective investigations and advising on corrective action in unionized environmentsExperience in grievance handling and negotiations preparationWorking in a remote support capacitySkills & Qualifications Bachelor's degreeKnowledge of labor and employment laws, e.g., NLRA, FLSA and FMLAExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAttention to detailsWilling to travel 5-10% of timeCurious about Life at Levy?
