In this role, Foodbuy's Senior Category Development Managers are expected to own the categories to drive end to end value for internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities:Develop category management strategy in conjunction with key internal business partners to meet/exceed company and customer business needsIn conjunction with the key business stakeholders, support all activities related to negotiating, evaluating, selecting and executing preferred supplier contractsConduct industry analysis to provide proactive insight in order to develop a 3 year category strategyProvide industry expertise to assist customers for each assigned category Develop long-term relationships with strategic suppliers and distributorsEstablish & maintain a master contact management system for all vendors within scopeIdentify preferred supplier/distributor poolInteract with Safety and Quality Assurance personnelConduct quarterly and annual performance evaluations of team membersResponsible for development of comprehensive strategy reports to present to Senior ManagementIdentify, design and execute cost savings projects within assigned categoriesProvide operational support to the category procurement initiatives and seek to add value to local procurement activities by developing processes which support the overall strategyProactively research and communicate market intelligence to our customers for each assigned category Qualifications:Proven leader with excellent management and communication skills.
