**Position Overview: Direct Support Professional (DSP)**
We are seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for our inpatient/outpatient substance use treatment facility. As a DSP, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our clients, utilizing the Compass Champion Behavior approach. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for success in this role. This is a full-time, day position from Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage clients in group education to support their recovery process
- Transport clients as clinically indicated with a valid unrestricted driver's license
- Update and maintain medication logs accurately
- Monitor clients as they self-administer medication
- Orient new clients to relevant processes and procedures for their care
- Participate in trainings, team meetings, and disaster drills
- Collect and process Urine Drug Screenings
- Respond effectively to crisis situations as they arise
- Education:** High School diploma/GED Preferred
- Qualification(s): Work Experience/Training/Additional Requirements**:
- Possession of a valid unrestricted driver's license at the time of hire, with the ability to obtain and maintain a class E MO driver's license by the end of a 60-day introductory period.
