**Job Description: Peer Specialist**
As a Peer Specialist at Compass Health Network, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with mental illnesses and substance use disorders in their journey towards recovery. Join our interdisciplinary Improving Community Treatment Success (ICTS) team, where you will provide individualized community-based services to individuals in need.
Responsibilities
- Share lived experiences of recovery and support the use of recovery tools
- Help individuals recognize their capacity for resilience
- Assist individuals in connecting with their community and developing support networks
- Empower individuals to make independent choices and set recovery goals
- Collaborate with the treatment team on client Wellness Plans
- Provide peer support and crisis stabilization assistance as needed
- High School/GED required
- Self-identify as a current or former consumer of behavioral health services
- Complete a state-approved training program and maintain Certified Peer Specialist certification
- Possess a valid driver's license and minimum automobile coverage
