Role DescriptionThe Community Living Instructor/Direct Support Professional at Compass Health Network plays a crucial role in assisting the Wellness Team with activities and groups for residents. This position involves providing various services to consumers, focusing on enhancing rehabilitation across five key program components. Candidates should be comfortable working with individuals with chronic mental health issues and display a commitment to delivering exceptional client care.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure a safe environment for therapeutic growth
- Utilize individual and group activities to develop essential behaviors and skills
- Implement approved curriculum for managing mental illness
- Employ effective methods to enhance consumer motivation for independence
- Provide meaningful individual and group activities tailored to consumers' needs
- Assist consumers in accessing mental health services and other essential resources
- High School/GED required
- At least two years of experience in a mental health-related field preferred
- Valid driver's license required; ability to obtain and maintain a Class E MO driver's license within 60 days of hire
