ResponsibilitiesAs a Medical Assistant or Nurse LPN at Compass Health Network, your role involves:
- Patient preparation for examinations and treatments, including documenting patient histories and vital signs
- Setting up exam and treatment rooms with necessary supplies
- Performing procedures such as venipunctures, urinalysis, and EKGs
- Administering immunizations and injections
- Providing patient education and support
- Assisting physicians/nurse practitioners during health care services
- Maintaining medical supplies and equipment, ensuring sterilization
- Coordinating tests and treatments and handling patient files and records
- Adhering to clinic guidelines, standard precautions, and regulatory requirements
- High School/GED required
- Practical Nursing certificate required for Nurse LPNs
- Medical Assistant Certification, LPN, or GPN required
- Minimum of two years of equivalent work experience
- Medical office experience and familiarity with terminology preferred
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is advantageous
