**Role Overview**
As a Peer Specialist with Compass Health Network, you will play a vital role in promoting recovery and resilience among individuals with substance use disorders and mental illness. Your responsibilities will include sharing personal recovery experiences, supporting the use of recovery tools, and helping individuals connect with their communities.
**Responsibilities**

• Share lived experiences of recovery and support the use of recovery tools
• Help individuals recognize their own resilience
• Assist individuals in connecting with their communities and other consumers
• Support individuals in making independent choices and taking an active role in their treatment
• Help individuals identify strengths and resources for their recovery journey
• Participate in client Wellness Plans and treatment decisions as a member of the team

**Requirements**

• High School/GED required
• Self-identify as a current or former consumer of behavioral health services
• Complete state-approved training program and maintain certification as a Certified Peer Specialist
• Valid driver's license and minimum automobile coverage required
