**Job Description**
As a Registered Nurse (RN) at our psychiatric facility, you will play a crucial role in delivering direct and indirect patient care. Working closely with a multidisciplinary team, you will coordinate care and provide education to patients and their families. This position involves working with a diverse range of age groups, from preadolescents to geriatrics, in a Category I classification setting.
**Essential Functions**

• Leadership and team collaboration skills are essential
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are required
• Ability to handle multiple stressors and difficult situations with maturity
• Direct patient care for specified age groups
• Physical intervention techniques with aggressive patients may be necessary
• Physical strength, agility, and endurance for patient and equipment handling
• Participate in orientation and training of new employees
• Mandatory overtime participation as needed
• Involvement in Continuous Quality Improvement Program
• Commitment to 52 hours of continuing education annually
• Active participation in committees and other assigned duties

**Requirements**

• Associate's degree in nursing required, Bachelor's degree preferred
• At least one year of psychiatric experience preferred
• RN or GN licensure with the passing of MO NCLEX exam within 90 days of graduation
