Your responsibilities will include maintaining professional nursing standards, coordinating care for individuals in crisis, and collaborating with the healthcare team to deliver comprehensive services and education to patients and their families.
Responsibilities Include
- Conducting health assessments, pain assessments, and vital signs monitoring
- Administering medications, including injections and observing self-administration
- Managing medications, updating medication records, and handling controlled substances
- Providing patient education on physical health and medications
- Coordinating care with various healthcare professionals and stakeholders
- Reporting and documenting changes in patients' condition and behavior
- Assisting with diagnostic and treatment procedures
- Participating in team meetings and providing mentorship to new staff
- Demonstrating effective communication and problem-solving skills
- Delivering direct patient care to adults in crisis situations
- Adhering to mandatory overtime requirements, when necessary
- Associate's degree in nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum of one year of psychiatric experience; acute care experience preferred
- Valid LPN or RN licensure in Missouri
