Your responsibilities will involve maintaining standards of Professional Nursing Practice and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of high-quality care to individuals experiencing behavioral crises.

OverviewAs a Nurse LPN/RN CSC at Compass Health, you will play a crucial role in providing direct and indirect patient care at the local Crisis Stabilization Center. Your responsibilities will involve maintaining standards of Professional Nursing Practice and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of high-quality care to individuals experiencing behavioral crises.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct health assessments, pain assessments, and vital sign monitoring for individuals at the Crisis Stabilization Center
- Administer medications, including injections, observing self-administration, and managing medication records
- Provide patient education on physical health and medications
- Coordinate care with stakeholders such as staff, residents, families, physicians, and pharmacies
- Monitor and report changes in individuals' behavior, attitude, and physical condition
- Assist in diagnostic and treatment procedures, as well as educating new employees
- Demonstrate effective communication skills and the ability to work with agitated patients
- Participate in team meetings, leadership meetings, and mandatory overtime as needed
- Education: Associates degree in nursing required; Bachelors degree in nursing preferred
- Work Experience: Minimum one year of psychiatric experience; hospital or acute care setting experience is preferred
- Licensure/Certification: LPN or RN (valid in MO) required
