At Compass Health, we are dedicated to providing exceptional care to the communities we serve. We are looking for a compassionate Nurse (LPN/RN) to join our Crisis Center Stabilization Center team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering quality healthcare services to individuals experiencing behavioral crises.
Key Responsibilities

• Conduct health assessments, vital sign checks, and provide general care to individuals at the Crisis Stabilization Center.
• Administer medications, including injections, observing self-medication, and managing medication administration records.
• Educate patients and families on physical health and medications.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members, residents, families, and external partners to coordinate care effectively.
• Monitor and record changes in patients' behavior and physical conditions.
• Assist in diagnostic and treatment procedures and provide mentorship to new staff members.
• Participate in team meetings and leadership discussions as required.
• Demonstrate strong communication skills and ability to handle challenging situations positively.
• Deliver direct patient care to adults, including those in agitated states.
• Willingness to work overtime shifts if necessary.

QualificationsEducation:

• Associate's degree in nursing is required
• Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred

Experience

• Minimum of one year of psychiatric experience; previous hospital or acute care experience is advantageous

Licensure/Certification

• Active LPN or RN license valid in MO
