Responsibilities
- Conduct health assessments, vital sign monitoring, and daily care for individuals at the Crisis Stabilization Center
- Administer medications, including injections, observing self-administration, and managing medication protocols
- Coordinate care with various stakeholders such as staff, residents, family members, physicians, and pharmacies
- Provide patient education on physical health and medications
- Report observable changes in patients' behaviors and conditions
- Assist in diagnostic and treatment procedures, and provide education to new employees
- Demonstrate effective communication skills and ability to work under pressure
- Work with verbally or physically agitated patients and participate in mandatory overtime as needed
- Associate's degree in nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum of one year of psychiatric experience; hospital or acute care experience preferred
- Active LPN or RN licensure in the state of Missouri required
