Job Description Highway Specialty Sales Manager - ( 22000006 ) **Description**

**Summary:** This role is primarily responsible to continue facilitating growth of MgCl2 sales and business development in industrial, dust control (gravel roads), and deicing application industries predominantly in North America and account management of the major distributors within the sales territory assigned.

**Essential Job Functions:** Include but are not limited to the following:

* Develop and build customer base in current and newly developing markets and develop long-term sustainable business relationships with distributors and dealers.

* Responsible for achieving sales volumes, pricing, margin, customer profitability objectives

**Service:**

* Showcase ability to learn technical sales and support of MgCl2 products in industries they reside

* Willingness to engage with Compass Operations and Logistics to solve quality/supply problems and help develop creative solutions

* Help execute high-volume peak season MgCl2 supply models and show willingness to hold customers accountable to supply forecasts

* Bring creative and strategic thinking to each individual regional distributor/customer supply relationship and help mold an evolving, collaborative, and growing relationship with each unique customer.

* Bring flexible and agile approach to develop successful annual Key Account Plans (KAPs) with different customers with differing styles/needs as a roadmap to meet yearly margin, revenue and volume goals

**Market development:**

* Assess differing geographic and market needs, trends, and distribution requirements.

* Hunger/passion/confidence to make sales calls and create new business relationships

* Manage and organize territory development through Oracle, PowerBI, and Salesforce support platforms

* Provide customers timely/strategic quotes and manage your markets; work with current distributors within their markets for new opportunities.

* Single point of contact for distributors/customers: Recommend/manage price, marketing support, and new business opportunity strategies.

* Must be experienced in market analytics to drive/implement appropriate pricing strategies. Will need to collect bid information, assess bids and bid results to understand market dynamics.

* Support distributors with sales visits and industry conferences as requested.

* Work effectively with Operations, Logistics, Quality, and Customer Service to assure product availability and customer satisfaction.

* Bachelors Degree in business or related field and four years sales or industry-related experience is desired.
