Compassionate Home Health is Hiring a Home Health Aide Near Roseville, CA

Job Summary:

Performs duties essentially of personal care which might be given to convalescent, chronically ill or disabled persons in their homes. Attempts in every possible way, in working with individuals and families, to assist them to assume responsibilities toward self-care. Helps the well family members to carry their share of the responsibilities and encourages the disabled member to participate in the life of the family, in so far as able..

Regulatory Requirements:

  • Home Health Qualifications
  • Per CMS regulations, a qualified home health aide is a person who has successfully completed
  • A training and competency evaluation program that meets CMS requirements (484.80(b) and 484.80(c))* respectively; or
  • A competency evaluation program that meets the requirements of CMS 484.80©; or
  • A nurse aide training and competency evaluation program approved by the state as meeting the requirements of CMS 484.151 through 483.154 and is currently listed in good standing on the state nurse aide registry; or
  • The requirements of a state licensure program that meets the provisions of CMS 484.80(b) and 484.80(c).
  • A home health aide or nurse aide is not considered to have completed a program if since the individual's most recent completion of the program(s), there has been.
  • A continuous period of 24 consecutive months during which none of the services furnished by the individual as described in CMS 409.40 were for compensation.
  • If there has been a 24-month lapse in furnishing services for compensation, the individual must complete another training and competency evaluation program before providing services.
  • On-the-job instruction relative to specific patient needs and continuing inservice training, so that patient safety may be assured, and the personal care and homemaking needs of the patient are adequately met.
  • Valid state driver’s license and reliable automobile, current automobile insurance and be willing to operate personal car necessitated by nature of job.
  • Current CPR card.
  • Current health certificate/physical examination and TB testing.

* Refer to the Home Health Aide Training policy for requirements of CMS 484.80(b) and the Certified Home Health Aide Competency Evaluation Program for requirements of CMS 484.80(c)

Language Skills:

  • Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Additional languages preferred.

Pay: $30 per visit

Physical Demands:

  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position without compromising patient care.
