Position: Bookkeeper

A Bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining the accounting records for the company.

Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable with HR and facilitate any cash disbursement functions
• Track and process payments for outgoing equipment/inventory purchases
• Maintain vendor files and act as primary liaison to vendors in regard to anything invoice related
• Compile credit card statements and supporting documentation from card holders.
• Prepare accounts payable aging report weekly, review payment proposals with approval from COO.
• Process all accounts payable checks/ACH payments.
• Oversee maintenance of account payable files and records, and act as primary liaison to vendors.
• Respond to all vendor, 1099, and employee inquiries regarding invoices, expenses, and check request; resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Prepare bi-weekly payroll for associates.
• Prepare month-end reconciliation and journal entries. (preferably weekly, to be prepared for month end)
• Assist with preparing and assembling information for external auditors, to be sent to CEO for sending to auditors
• Assist with annual budgeting process.
• Compile and submit 1099's to company CPA, facilitate conversations to assist with tax liability as needed.
• Continuously look for opportunities to generate efficiencies and increase the effectiveness of financial operations.
• Compile annual reports including sales and use tax returns.
• Ad hoc reporting for business unit managers and senior management.
• Find and maintain insurance for all property and locations
• Other general accounting duties as assigned.

Experience:

• QuickBooks, especially QuickBooks online, at least 1 year preferred
• Bookkeeping, at least 1 year preferred
