Position Overview:

We are seeking a SEASONED BENEFITS ACCOUNT MANAGER to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong and effective communication skills, excellent customer service abilities, and proficiency in administrative multitasking. You will be responsible for supporting our Account Executive in maintaining a long-standing book of business, leading the renewal process, addressing claims issues, and handling billing inquiries. A minimum of two years in the industry with a broker, carrier or TPA is preferred. Salary is commensurate with experience.

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintain and manage the book of business in collaboration with the Account Executive

- Serve as the main point of contact for clients to assist with claims, billing, and other technical inquiries

- Assist in the renewal process of employee benefits programs by preparing proposals and enrollment materials

- Execute administrative tasks with an elevated level of accuracy and efficiency

- Communicate effectively with clients to ensure exceptional service delivery

- Organize and prioritize ever-changing tasks to meet deadlines and client needs

- Utilize MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and other software tools as needed

Qualifications:

- A minimum of two years in the industry with a broker, carrier or TPA

- Must possess Maryland Life and Health license or ability to obtain within 6 months (company paid)

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Proven customer service experience

- Proficiency in Windows PC and MS Office suite (particularly Excel and Outlook)

- Effective problem-solving abilities

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday (Remote work available on Fridays) 8:30am-5pm.
