Position Summary
We are seeking an accomplished and driven Practice Administrator- Retina to lead our multi-location practice. This key leadership role will involve overseeing daily operations, ensuring the delivery of top-notch patient care, and managing the performance of our dynamic team.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Drives quality care and patient experience.
- Builds and maintains relationships with all stakeholders ie. Physicians, Staff, Patients and colleagues.
- Fosters a culture of excellence, continuous improvement, and innovation.
- Oversees the day-to-day operations i.e. Physician schedules, patient experience and maintains appropriate staffing levels.
- Manages monthly expenditures and develops process for timely collections and payments for services provided.
- Develops, mentors, and coaches high performing staff members.
- Ensures the practice stays compliant with employment laws and policies including but not limited to Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), sexual harassment, drug-free workplace, and employee confidentiality.
- Manages financial performance, including budgeting, financial reporting, and revenue cycle management.
- Cultivates positive working relationships with external partners, insurance providers, and vendors.
Experience Requirements
- 5 years of leadership experience within the healthcare industry required.
- 2 years in a senior administrative role within ophthalmology required.
- 1 years of experience within a Retina Practice preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Proven track record in leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Strong commitment to patient care, compassion, and community engagement.
- Technologically savvy, with Microsoft Suite and Electronic Healthcare Record Systems.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance, and accreditation standards.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
- Demonstrated business acumen and financial management skills.
Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field; preferred.
Physical Demands
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
