COMPREHENSIVE PRIMARY CARE is Hiring a Junior IT Systems Engineer Near ROCKVILLE, MD

Comprehensive Primary Care is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior IT Systems Engineer to join our IT team, in a HIPAA-compliant healthcare environment. The successful candidate will assist with systems administration tasks, help desk support, and the management of cloud services while ensuring compliance with industry regulations. This role requires strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Help Desk Support:
    • Provide first and second-level technical support to end-users for hardware and software issues.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to MS Windows, macOS, Microsoft Office, and other applications.
    • Manage support requests through the Zendesk ticket system, ensuring timely resolution and follow-up.
  2. Systems Administration:
    • Assist in the administration and maintenance of active directory, Azure services, and Intune for device management.
    • Monitor, maintain, and configure network hardware and software, including Meraki networking solutions.
    • Support the deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting of laptops, desktops, monitors, and printers.
  3. Healthcare Compliance:
    • Ensure all IT processes comply with HIPAA and other relevant healthcare regulations.
    • Document system configurations and IT processes to support compliance activities.
  4. User Support and Training:
    • Provide onboarding and training for new employees on desktop/laptop setup, software applications, and IT policies.
    • Assist in the troubleshooting and support of the organization’s phone system.
  5. Maintaining Documentation:
    • Maintain up-to-date documentation for IT processes, user guides, and system configurations.
    • Collaborate with senior IT staff in documenting and improving IT procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience:
    • 1-2 years of experience in a help desk or systems administration role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
    • Familiarity with Azure, Intune, Meraki, and ticketing systems like Zendesk.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office Suite.
    • Basic understanding of macOS support and troubleshooting.
    • Experience with network configurations and support, especially Meraki.
    • Familiarity with printers and peripheral devices.
    • Understanding of HIPAA compliance requirements.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer service-oriented mindset.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to support.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications such as CompTIA A , Network , or MCSA.
  • Experience in a healthcare environment and knowledge of compliance protocols
