Position Type: Hybrid (3 days in office and 2 days remote)
Location: East Elmhurst, NY 11370
Duration: 6 months with possibility of extension
Hours: 35 hours/week
Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Automation Quality Assurance Engineer to join our QA team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in automated testing and proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or JavaScript. As an Automation QA Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop automated test scripts using scripting languages such as Python or JavaScript.
- Implement and maintain automated testing frameworks to support continuous integration and delivery processes.
- Collaborate with development teams to identify test scenarios and automate test cases for new features and enhancements.
- Execute automated tests, analyze results, and report defects to development teams.
- Identify opportunities to optimize test automation processes and improve test coverage.
- Work closely with QA analysts and developers to troubleshoot issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives as part of Agile development processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance, with a focus on automation testing.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or JavaScript.
- Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress).
- Solid understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
