Compu-Vision Consulting Inc. is Hiring a Senior Accountant Near Charlotte, NC
To support the accounting function through general journal entry processing and review, account reconciliation processing and review, intercompany reconciliations, general accounting matters and projects, and all related schedules and rollforwards, as well as other items as requested. Must effectively communicate regularly with internal and external stakeholders to achieve a high level of customer service. Must contribute to the team effort by accomplishing common departmental goals and initiatives. This position reports to Centralized Accounting Manager.
Responsibilities
- Play a key role in the company's month-end close process by posting journal entries and maintaining supporting documents
- Prepare and review various account reconciliations and amortization schedules, including but not limited to bank and intercompany account reconciliations
- Collaborate with the company's Finance team to perform monthly variance analysis and support the annual budget process
- Assist with interim and annual audits
- Support the financial/accounting integration of acquired companies
- Design streamlined processes and document accordingly
- Ensure proper documentation and adherence within internal control structure
- Identify and drive potential process improvements and efficiencies
- Various projects and initiatives as assigned
- Mentor/Coach accounting staff
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and 4 or more years of related experience
- Extensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Ability to work independently with limited supervisory assistance
- Excellent communication skills including verbal and written
- Ability to prioritize workload and multitask as needed
- Work in a fast-paced environment and complete work within tight deadlines
- Ability to be thoughtful in streamline process design and documentation
- Proficient Microsoft Excel skills and ability to use analytical skills to identify trends and potential issues
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Handles a large volume of work while maintaining a high level of accuracy
- Prior leadership responsibilities required
- Great Plains/Management Reporter experience a plus
