Shifts available: Days, 35 hrs./ week
Job Description: The Medical Assistant reports to the Associate Director of Primary Care and is responsible for performing clinical and administrative duties within the Student Health Services Primary Care department.
Essential Functions: ยท Prepare patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests as directed. Accurately record all pertinent vital signs including manual blood pressure. Perform testing including EKGs and point of care testing such as urinalysis, pregnancy tests, strep, mono, COVID and flu tests. Prepare exam room before appointments and clean exam rooms after appointments. Assist clinician and nurses with all primary care visit types. Additional departmental assistance and projects as requested
Specific Qualifications: - High School diploma with medical assistant training program certification or EMT/Paramedic certification. Experience working in an ambulatory care or primary care setting is preferred. Certification is required.
VENDOR shall ensure that all personnel assigned to UNIVERSITY have current licensing and/or certification throughout the term of this assignment.
