Title: Production Planning and Inventory Control Specialist
Job Description:
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage demand and production scheduling for single units with multiple customers/products.
- Support new product/program launches and work closely with customers and team leaders to determine daily production requirements.
- Utilize parameters to drive inventory levels within the manufacturing unit.
- Lead improvement and cost reduction initiatives, including continuous improvement team involvement.
- Participate in product transfer teams and work with Materials Launch team for new product/program launches.
- Formalize Weekly Forecasts/Sales and Operations planning data.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience:
- Broad-based supply chain management and process development knowledge.
- Proficiency in planning and scheduling, demand management, inventory management, and material systems.
- Ability to make quick decisions in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and prioritize competing demands.
- Strong time management skills and customer focus.
- Advanced analytical problem-solving skills.
- Experience in projects influencing manufacturing direction and impacting customer satisfaction.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in PC software and formal MRP system processes.
- APICS Certification is a plus.
Education:
- Associate's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Accounting, or Engineering required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Accounting, or Engineering preferred.
Shift:
- Mon-Fri, 8-5 or 6:30 - 3:30 (flexible start time during 1st shift for an 8 hr shift)
