Job Details

Summary:

CEI s client in the utility sector is seeking a skilled Training Specialist.

Job at a glance:

  • Hybrid in Wadsworth, Ohio
  • 4-month contract to hire role
  • Pay Range: $28.00 to $30.00 per hour
  • Cannot accept C2C for this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer the System Operator training program in compliance with PJM/NERC standards.
  • Maintain and manage training records for the Transmission System Operator training program in both PJM and Quality Training Systems (QTS) Learning Management Systems.
  • Renew System Operators PJM/NERC certifications and the NERC Continuing Education Provider status.
  • Support the Transmission Training group with reporting, tracking, and necessary documentation.
  • Create and maintain the initial training schedule for Associate Transmission System Operators.
  • Manage the onboarding process, including ordering equipment and coordinating department orientation.
  • Coordinate initial training provided by third-party training vendors.
  • Schedule classes around instructor availability and assign training to students in Empower.
  • Convert training presentations to SCORM 2004 Version 4 format using Articulate and WellSaid for future use in QTS LMS.
  • Qualify and perform duties of an EEI System Operator / Power Dispatcher (SO/PD) test administrator.
  • Produce a variety of correspondence, reports, and presentations.
  • Build relationships and credibility across the organization.
  • Deliver quality, accurate work within established deadlines and demonstrate sound customer service.
  • Follow established practices, procedures, and instructions to produce thorough, timely, and accurate administrative work products.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills and prioritize workload effectively.
  • Manage confidential information with discretion.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to training processes.
  • Represent the company at the annual QTS Workshop.
  • Perform other tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred: 2 or 4-year degree in a related discipline (Education, Business, Instructional Design).
  • In lieu of a degree, 3-5 years of relevant work experience with adult training and/or an administrative background.
  • Preferred experience in training program administration and support.
  • Knowledge of NERC/PJM training requirements is preferred.
  • Knowledge of the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) process is preferred.
  • Ability to manage, organize, and prioritize work while maintaining strong attention to detail.
  • Willingness to travel and work additional hours and/or modified schedules when necessary.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Preferred experience with MS Access, SharePoint, and Adobe Articulate / Well Said software.
