PositionDescription : This position is responsible for providing desktop andend user support for the Department of Labor & Industry (DLI)which consists of approximately 4000 users.
This position supportsthe Daily operation of several bureaus within the DLI HQ buildingat 651 Boas Street inHarrisburg.
Skills : The skill level of this position requires the ability to actindependently work in team environments and have a highly advancedproficiency and competence in a variety of IT platforms andtechnologies.
This role has various tasks including troubleshootingof the Windows and Mac operating systems COTS applications as wellas numerous inhouse developed applications VPN connectivity issuesVDI connectivity issues software removal and installation hardwarereplacements and distributions printer setups basic networkingissues imaging desktops / laptops and working with vendors tocoordinate onsiterepairs.
Inaddition to all the laptop and printer deployments the technicianin this position has resolved 8090% of the incident ticketsassigned which sometime involves working with vendors working withother IT teams and especially users when handson isrequired.
