ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:

Comtech Systems, Inc (CSI) is looking for Procurement Manager candidates who will ensure all purchases are done and tracked until their delivery. Candidates will be expected to work with a spirit of cooperation and must exhibit a tenacious work ethic while possessing the drive and critical thinking to excel in potentially tumultuous conditions.

  • Must have an active, current Secret Clearance.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

All candidates will perform the following duties:

  • Develop, hone, and execute new and/or improved procurement strategies across all channels of purchasing.
  • Delegate tasks and supervise the work of purchasing and procurement across all departments.
  • Manage every aspect of the supply chain and notify the Government of any possible obstacles to the procurement process.
  • Institute policies and procedures for collecting and reporting key metrics.
  • Perform cost analysis and set appropriate benchmarks.
  • Coordinate deliveries.
  • Create policies and procedures for risk management and mitigation.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

All candidates will have the following minimum skills:

  • Five (5) years of recent specialized experience in purchasing management.
  • Strong knowledge of government contract structure and execution.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain management.
  • Proven history of developing effective inventory management.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally with diverse audiences, internally and externally to foster strong teamwork.
  • Work well independently or as a member of a team environment
  • Detail-oriented, with strong analytical skills.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Business or Accounting, OR Associate’s degree plus seven (7) years of recent specialized experience, OR eleven (11) years of recent specialized experience.

  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office.
