The Facilities Specialist will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining and repairing mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and clinical equipment and systems to ensure optimal operating results. The Facilities Specialist will oversee the organization’s facility operations, manage maintenance and clinical housekeeping staff all while remaining in compliance with local, state, federal, and governing agencies regulations and to ensure a safe environment.
What You’ll Do
• Oversight to ensure that all buildings, office space, clinical space and common areas are clean, safe, functional and aesthetically pleasing.
• Delegates and/or performs maintenance and repair of facilities, non-clinical and clinical equipment to meet service level requirements
• Administrator of facility work ticket system and asset management system.
• Ensures compliance with health and safety standards and industry codes.
• Develops and ensure compliances with all internal policies, standard operating procedures and governing agencies regulations
• Respond to facility and equipment alarms and system failures
• Performs routine inspections and walk through of site including support of Family House.
• Oversight for facility capital projects, renovations, and refurbishments
• Prepare and maintain RFP’s, bid information and other contract documentation. Obtain quotes and proposals from vendors, suppliers, contractors and utilize competitive bid process
. • Coordinate external contractors for scheduled preventive maintenance and major repairs on generator, HVAC, fire protection, building automation system, refrigeration equipment, clinical equipment (organ, tissue, eye bank).
• Manage and review service contracts to ensure facility management needs are being met
. • Develop excellent working relationships internally and with outside Architects, Engineers, Contractors, Vendors and Property Management
. • Allocate and manage existing facilities space for maximum efficiency and serve as point of contact for all future building space needs planning.
What You’ll Bring
• Facility management certification required; Certified Healthcare Facility Manager preferred
• 5 years’ experience in facility/property management required
• Associate’s degree with focus on business, technical or engineering or equivalent work experience is required
