Conco Services LLC is Hiring a PRESS OPERATOR (4113) Near Verona, PA
Essential Functions And Responsibilities
- Comprehensive understanding of blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerance of finished work piece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
- Measures, marks, and scribes' dimensions and reference points on material or work piece as guides for subsequent machining.
- Manufacturing of die parts (punches, die sections, forming details, etc.) by utilizing department equipment.
- Moderate ability to operate and maintain stamping press, vertical mill, surface grinding and other general machining skills.
- Adaptability to perform duties and work overtime as demand requires.
- Adhere to Employee’s Responsibilities section set forth in Conco’s Safety Policies & Procedure Manual
- Strong attention to detail.
- Must be able to read and interpret drawings, follow routers, use simple math, and use basic handheld measuring tools.
- Must be familiar with the basic machine functions to perform the tasks above.
- This position requires an organized, self-motivated individual.
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks and/or priorities and easily adapt to changing situations.
- Must be willing to accept and receive frequent supervision and assistance concerning machine set-up
- Oral Comprehension & Expression – The ability to communicate, listen, and understand information and direction through spoken words and sentences.
- Written Comprehension & Expression – The ability to read, write and understand information and ideas.
- Speech Clarity – The ability to speak clearly so others can understand.
- Reasoning – The ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instruction and the ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations
- High School Diploma (GED or High School Equivalence Certificate accepted);
- Must be authorized to work within the United States.
- Two years of related experience in a press environment
- Frequent lifting or moving of materials up to 75 lbs. must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs. overhead.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing shop environment (including hot, cold, and/or noisy areas).
- Frequent hand-to-finger, handle-feel objects & tools, walking, sitting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, talking, and hearing.
- Physically submit to periodic drug tests (employment is contingent upon favorable results)
