Concord Hospitality Brand is Hiring a Director of Finance Near Duluth, GA

Concord Hospitality is seeking a detailed oriented Director of Finance that will administer, direct, and control the accounting operations for a select group of hotels. This role also provides leadership and training internally and externally, assuring Accounting processes and procedures are adhered to.

Responsibilities:

  • Administers, directs, and controls the operations of the Accounting for a select group of hotels. Provides leadership and training internally and externally, assuring Accounting processes and procedures are adhered to.
  • Protects the assets of the corporate office and hotels.
  • Provides timely and accurate data on which to make decisions.
  • Prepares timely, accurate and meaningful financial statements to owners and management every month.
  • Ensures proper controls are in place and monitors such controls.
  • Provides leadership and guidance to Property Controllers, Junior Staff Accountants and Accounting Assistants in all areas of their position
  • Ensures the various areas under the responsibility of the Property Controller and Junior Staff Accountant are operating effectively and efficiently including supervision of these individuals.
  • Ensures the controls are minimizing losses and maximizing profits by retaining revenues, reducing expenses, and safeguarding hotel assets.
  • Assist in the review of balances sheet reconciliations.
  • Provide training to new Property Controllers and Junior Staff Accountants so they perform to the best of their abilities while in accordance with established objectives, policies, and procedures.
  • Must be able to complete assigned tasks and provide training for hotel transitions and new openings
  • Complete any Accounting training as needed for Concord associates
  • Assist with the budget review process and provide guidance to Property Controllers and Jr. Staff Accountants with the budgets.
  • Answer any owner questions/research.
  • Keeps “open communication” between subordinates, peers, and associates.
  • Actively participates in meetings.
  • Administers and maintains accurate records of necessary federal, state, and local reports as required by the applicable laws, franchise SOPs, and Concord COPs.
  • Conducts self to reflect the high standards of professionalism within the Concord Hospitality organization.
  • Learns, understands, and refers to the Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Follows safety and security procedures and rules.
  • Each associate will be required to follow the rules as found in the Concord Hospitality Associate Handbook.
  • Ensures all deadlines are met.
  • Other duties that may be assigned.
