Clinical Assistant - Concord Orthopaedics

Starting Pay: $17/hour, commensurate with experience.

Full Time - 2 openings

The Clinical Assistant supports providers and medical support staff by performing administrative and clinical duties in the clinical areas of the practice in order to provide exceptional patient care to patients of Concord Orthopaedics.

Job Duties:

· Rooming patients: Retrieve patients from the waiting room and bring them into the clinical pod area to prepare them for their upcoming visit.

· Perform clinical intake of the patient including obtaining pharmacy information, obtaining and entering current medications, obtaining patient vitals (height, weight, blood pressure) and entering this data into the patient’s electronic medical record.

· Preparing provider’s upcoming patient schedule by ensuring that all necessary paperwork has been received prior to the patient’s appointment.

· Contacting other health care facilities to obtain patient information such as diagnostic imaging and reports, past medical records and labs as necessary.

· Completing patient notes for work or school as directed by the provider.

· Calling patients to relay information from the provider.

· Assisting with room preparation including cleaning rooms and providing supplies and stocking rooms.

· Assisting patient with completing forms as necessary.

· Assisting the clinical team with preparing specimens for laboratory.

Experience & Skill Set Required

· MA, LNA or similar work-related experience preferred.

· Excellent listening and communication skills.

· Experience with electronic medical records systems preferred.

· Attention to detail a must.

· On the job training will be provided.
