Concordia University Texas is Hiring a Director of Admissions and Recruitment Near Austin, TX

Position Summary: Concordia University Texas seeks a dynamic and collaborative leader to serve as the Director of Admissions and Recruiting. Reporting to the Vice President of Enrollment Management, the Director will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the University by overseeing all aspects of undergraduate, online undergraduate, and graduate admissions. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective strategies to attract, engage, and enroll candidates while optimizing the recruitment process.

The Director will lead a team in identifying and developing long-term goals and strategic plans for maximizing the efficiency and effectiveness of the recruitment and admission process. This includes managing the day-to-day operations of the Office of Admission, ensuring appropriate follow-up activities resulting in yield, and implementing policies, procedures, and programs to enhance admission, recruitment, and yield.

The Director will collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including the Offices of Marketing, Residential Life, Student Services, Enrollment Partnerships, and Athletics, to ensure a seamless process for incoming students from inquiry through enrollment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the admissions team, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities to ensure the attainment of enrollment goals for incoming undergraduate, online undergraduate, and graduate programs.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive recruitment strategies for all academic programs to attract prospective students from diverse backgrounds, including traditional and non-traditional learners.
  • Collaborate with various University stakeholders to ensure a seamless process for incoming students from application through enrollment.
  • Identify and develop long-term goals and strategic plans for maximizing the efficiency and effectiveness of the recruitment and admission process, including outreach efforts and achievement of University enrollment goals.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Office of Admission, overseeing appropriate follow-up activities resulting in yield and implementing policies, procedures, and programs to enhance admission, recruitment, and yield.
  • Represent the University at various recruitment events on and off campus, including critical yield days, high schools, and college fairs, speaking publicly to groups on and off campus, and counseling prospective students and families regarding the admission process.
  • Oversee implementation of various recruitment and admission-related events and activities, utilizing a data-driven philosophy to establish a recruitment and yield strategy.
  • Track application performance through data research and monitor the travel budget to ensure efficient allocation of resources.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in admissions or enrollment management, preferably in a higher education setting.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability with a track record of successfully managing and motivating teams to achieve enrollment goals.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders and build collaborative relationships.
  • Strategic thinker able to develop and execute innovative recruitment strategies to attract and retain students.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and using CRM systems to track recruitment metrics and inform decision-making.

  • Must be available to travel overnight and work several weekend events during peak recruiting seasons; reliable transportation is required.
