Concordia University Wisconsin/Ann Arbor is Hiring a Men's Hockey Assistant Coach Near Ann Arbor, MI

Position Summary

Concordia University invites applicants to the position of part time Assistant Coach for the Men's Hockey program in the Athletics Department. The Assistant Coach of Men's Ice Hockey is responsible for execution of all scouting, film preparation, competition preparation recruiting.

Job Responsibilities

  • Video breakdown
  • Use of appropriate video-editing software
  • Coordination of team film sessions
  • Development of scouting reports
  • Practice planning and individual skill development
  • Bench management in game
  • Work collaboratively with Admissions and head coach to effectively recruit new student-athletes that have the ability to achieve success academically and athletically at CUAA.

Professional Experience/Qualifications

Requires candidate to demonstrate:

  • Possess 3 - 5 years of ice hockey playing, operations or coaching experience
  • Knowledge of recruiting and coaching at the college or an equivalently high level
  • Strong commitment to the academic success of student-athletes
  • Knowledge and commitment to Concordia University, NAIA and ACHA regulations
  • Good communication and technology skills and strong leadership qualities
  • USA Hockey CEP Level 1 or higher, or able to take course in season
  • A valid driver's license
  • Supportive of the mission and values of Concordia University Wisconsin/Ann Arbor and the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS)

Education & Experience

A bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years coaching experience; college coaching preferred.

Compensation

This is a part-time stipend position. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications, education, and experience. No benefits are associated with this position.
