Concrete Technology is Hiring a Maintenance Electrician Near Tacoma, WA

Maintenance Electrician

Pay:

$31.09 an hour during probation (Approximately 504 hours)

$40.00 an hour after probation

BASIC DUTIES:

  • Maintains electrical and control systems in facilities and equipment; including but not limited to electrical distribution, cranes, mobile and stationary production equipment, concrete batch plant, and electrical curing systems.
  • Installs, maintains, and upgrades electrical systems and components
  • Inspects, tests, troubleshoots, and diagnoses issues with electrical systems and components
  • Calibrates equipment to provide specifications
  • Completes required documentation of repairs and service
  • Maintains adequate inventory of supplies and spare parts
  • Assists with non-electrical work in support of Maintenance Department objectives
  • Available for emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment and facilities when needed
  • Complies with WISHA/OSHA, electrical codes, and CTC Safety and Health rules and procedures
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work area
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Lead or Foreman

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1 to 4 years of related experience and training with production equipment and facilities
  • Preferred L&I License or equivalent
  • Mastery in troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical controls and components
  • Proficient in PLC and VFD systems
  • Must be proactive in equipment and facility care
  • Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, work procedures, and electrical drawings and diagrams
  • Ability to operate hand and power tools associated with electrical and general maintenance work
  • Ability to work successfully in a team environment with minimal supervision
  • Good communication skills
  • Must have and maintain good attendance

Work Environment & Schedule:

Duties of the job can be carried out in a double open bay and covered area(s), in the limited or uncovered yard(s), at high elevations work zones and without temperature control.

Performed work under all weather conditions and temperatures, in observance of laws and regulations.

Employees must be willing and able to wear respirator masks when required by work area and task(s) assigned based upon business and production needs.

Respirator masks require the employee to be clean-shaven to ensure a proper seal.

All schedules are subject to weekly changes. Changes can include scheduled work time, assigned production area and tasks, mandatory weekend work with no more than two mandatory Saturdays a month per the union Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) occasional mandatory Sundays (rare), and overtime (mandatory or voluntary) based upon production/business needs:

Mandatory & Voluntary Overtime may be available: Daily and weekend overtime may be available or required based upon business needs.
