Conduit Power is Hiring a Controls Technician Near Midland, TX

About the Position

Conduit Power is on a path to supplement our Nation’s power generation system with reliable and dispatchable generation in ways that reduces carbon footprint and accelerates the transition to clean, renewable energy.

We are seeking an experienced Controls Technicianwho will play a pivotal role in the development and optimization of our reciprocating engines and battery energy storage systems. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary operations team to design, implement, and maintain instrumentation and control systems that ensure the reliability, efficiency, and safety of our products. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of energy innovation and contribute to shaping the future of the industry.

You will:

▪ Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain instrumentation, control, and electrical systems system for reciprocating engines and battery energy storage systems.

▪ Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers and technicians to integrate instrumentation and control systems into overall product design.

▪ Conduct testing, validation, and troubleshooting of instrumentation and control systems, both in laboratory and field environments.

▪ Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices in instrumentation and controls engineering.

▪ Provide technical support and guidance to cross-functional teams during product development, manufacturing, and deployment phases.

▪ Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and methodologies to enhance the capabilities and reliability of instrumentation and control systems.

▪ Develop and track internal training and development programs in support of a culture of safe work.

What You Bring to the Team:

▪ Must be able to legally work in the United States of America

▪ A minimum of 5-10 years experience in instrumentation and control related fields

▪ Proven experience in supporting instrumentation and control systems, preferably in the energy or automotive industry.

▪ Strong knowledge of sensors, actuators, PLCs, RTUs, and other hardware/software used in engine and battery system

▪ Familiarity with SCADA systems and controls networking.

▪ Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards relevant to instrumentation and controls engineering (e.g., NEC, NFPA, ISA).

▪ Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

▪ Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.

▪ A working knowledge of the upstream oil and gas, natural gas, power plants and/or related equipment, materials, and technology

▪ Willing to travel within West Texas Region

Education, certifications, and experience commensurate with an Technician level role. 

▪ Strong time management and digital technology skills

▪ Strong organizational and project management skills

▪ Highly proficient verbal and written communication skill set

Target Comp Range:

$115,000 to $125,000 base salary bonus use of company truck, depending on experience
